Central High School is proud to recognize the accomplishments of 2021 CHS alum Da’Veawn Armstead. After graduating from CHS, Da’Veawn signed with TCU, played for Sam Houston, and went on to finish his college career with North Texas.
This past year, Armstead signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent. He saw action across three preseason games, including appearances against the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens, where he recorded a pass deflection. Though he did not make the 53-man roster, as of now, he continues with the program on the 16-man practice squad.
Armstead’s journey from a student at Central High School to a member of a nationally recognized team is full of determination and ambition. Da’Veawn’s climb reflects his dedication to his sport and serves as a source of inspiration for our student-athletes at Central High.
Here is a personal message from Da’Veawn for our current Wildcats:
“Chase your dreams and be where your feet are. Don’t take anything for granted because it could be stripped from you at any moment, but also keep faith and stay working! God has a purpose for you, and you look in the mirror and find it every day. I have been to 3 different colleges, played at every level, and still took it day by day to get to where I am now, and this is just the beginning. Put your goals in front of you and don’t let up!”
Armstead continues to build his future, climbing the ranks in his field, and we are eager to support his ongoing career as he flourishes in the passion that all started right here at CHS!
Congratulations, Da’Veawn!
