Heather Blackard

Central High School is proud to recognize the accomplishments of 2018 graduate Heather Blackard. After graduating, Heather was employed at Lane Regional Medical Center as the supervisor of the Allergy Clinic and is now the OB/GYN and Pediatrics Clinic Manager. She has recently been selected for the inaugural Junior League of Baton Rouge Women’s Leadership Academy, powered by the LSU Leadership Development Institute. Heather’s leap from a student at CHS to being one of just 40 women chosen for this first executive leadership cohort, is one founded on hard work and determination. During this experience, Heather will spend the next six months developing her leadership skills alongside accomplished women from across Louisiana. This recognition is especially well-deserved because of her dedication to her patients, providers, and team members. Central High School is incredibly proud to have her as an alumna and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes through this program.

Here is a message from Heather to our Wildcats:

“Find what lights your fire! For me, that’s waking up every day and showing up for the team who puts their trust in me to be their leader. Whatever the days throw at us, my team knows they can count on me to “handle it” and just that means the world to me and pushes me to be better for them! I encourage you to always strive for greatness and carry yourself with the utmost confidence. Always follow God’s golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Never stop seeking opportunities to better yourself and sharpen your mind. Challenge yourself to dig deep and find that grit.”

Heather continues to live out her message every day, sharpening her mind and challenging herself to do better! We are so proud of her and will continue to support what she built here at CHS.
